October 2, 2022 is the 127th Anniversary of Tianjin University. The University sends gift package to every student for the celebration of National Day as well as the University’s Anniversary during the National Day holiday. Every student receives vouchers of 50 yuan to buy what they like in all canteens and most supermarkets on both Weijin Road Campus and Peiyangyuan Campus.
Tianjin University Peiyang Education Development Foundation has established Student Gift Package Program for the celebration of this year’s National Day as well as the University’s Anniversary. It has received positive response from alumni. The Peiyang Crabapple Foundation established by alumni including Liu Yi, Chairman of ANDON HealthCo., Ltd., and Ma Ruren, Chairman of Ren Ai Group, has donated 2 million yuan on the vouchers of 50 yuan given to over 36,000 students. Chairman Liu Yi said, “The gift is not only to send holiday blessings to all students but also to express gratitude to the students for their supports and contributions to the University’s work and development, aiming to encourage students to immerse themselves in studying for their development into future leaders”.
The Peiyang Crabapple Foundation focuses on investing in high quality entrepreneurial projects with hard technology as its core which are conducted by Tianjin University students, faculty and alumni. The Foundation has invested in tens of millions yuan to set up scholarships, grants, encouragement scholarships, student activities projects for students' development; to host Crabapple Cup Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions; and to give support to the ecological development of the University's innovation and entrepreneurship. Since its establishment, the Foundation has invested in 18 projects with a total investment of about 600 million yuan.
